Description
H 2000 Flex coax cable – 100 meters
H 2000 Flex coax cable for use in HF, VHF, UHF and SHF bands.
The cable is manufactured according to the latest technical knowledge.
The inner conductor, with a diameter of 2.62 mm, is made of soft copper.
A physical foam serves as a dielectric, which allows very good attenuation characteristics. The high elasticity of this insulation material allows for a minimum bending radius of 50 mm. The outer diameter of the dielectric foam is 7,15 mm with a tolerance of ±0,15 mm. This dielectric has the following advantages: it is moisture resistant, waterproof, mechanically strong, it allows stable attenuation up to min. 3 GHz, and the cable is more flexible and “installation friendly” compared to coaxial cables with solid dielectrics.
Like all high-quality coax cables, the H 2000 Flex coax cable is double-shielded for its high frequency range. A plastic-coated copper foil and copper braiding form the outer conductor. The outer diameter is 10,3 mm ±0,15 mm.
The outer jacket is made of UV-resistant black PVC. This soft material allows problem-free use with rotating antenna systems, as they are usually used in amateur radios. The outer jacket is 1,2 mm thick, with a tolerance of ±0,1 mm. This cable achieves the same dimensions as with the classic RG213U. This dimension allows the use of the commonly used connectors of the standards.
H 2000 Flex coax cable has a copper number of 73 g/m. Thanks to this relatively large amount of copper, attenuation values are achieved that are better than those of the old well-known H100.
H 2000 Flex weighs 14 kg per 100 meters.
Today there are many cables with dielectric foam dust. A large part of these cables is produced with chemical foam. These dielectrics are very sensitive to moisture. Therefore, the IEC standard defines a DAMP HEAT TEST, which is an exact result of the moisture test. For this, the cable is exposed to a temperature of 40°C and a relative humidity of 93 for 21 days. After the test, the damping values may not exceed 5 higher than before. H 2000 Flex meets this standard.
H 2000 Flex coax cable has a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C. Therefore, it can be used almost anytime, anywhere in the world. However, the manufacturer recommends an installation temperature not lower than -5°C. H 2000 Flex is suitable for use with rotors.
